Thai massage is an ancient healing practice that combines acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. It's often called lazy person's yoga because the therapist moves your body into various poses and stretches. Unlike many Western massages that use oil and focus on muscle manipulation, Thai massage is typically done on a mat on the floor, and the client wears loose, comfortable clothing.

Key Characteristics
No Oil or Lotion:
Thai massage is performed without any oils or lotions, allowing the therapist to use their hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure and stretch the body.

Focus on Energy Lines (Sen):
The core principle of Thai massage is to clear blockages and promote the flow of sen (energy lines) throughout the body. By applying pressure along these lines, the therapist aims to restore balance and well-being.

Deep Stretching:
A significant part of the experience is the deep, full-body stretching. The therapist will guide you through a series of yoga-like poses, which helps to increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, and relieve muscle tension.

Rhythmic Compression:
The massage involves rhythmic compressions and gentle rocking motions that help to soothe the nervous system and release tension from the muscles.
